Deaths from measles and symptoms rise to 1,207 in the country; 1,032 hospitalized in 24 hours
The bulletin said that both people who died in the last 24 hours were from Dhaka Division. At the same time, 1,032 people were newly hospitalized across the country with measles and symptoms. Among them, the highest 405 were hospitalized in Dhaka Division and 200 in Chattogram. In addition, 125 were hospitalized in Sylhet, 94 in Barishal, 81 in Khulna, 65 in Mymensingh, 30 in Rangpur and 21 in Rajshahi Division.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services data, from 15 March to date, the number of suspected measles patients in the country is 217,760; among them, 23,248 have been confirmed infected. During this period, a total of 193,608 people were hospitalized with measles symptoms. Among them, 185,927 returned home after treatment.
