The GD was filed at Sarail Police Station last Thursday night. A list is also being prepared of the people who went to the police station with the MP during the incident.

The MP's workers and supporters claim that for quite some time the OC had not been answering MP Rumin Farhana's phone calls and had not provided security as demanded by the MP. In light of this, last Thursday evening Rumin Farhana went to the OC's room at Sarail Police Station with leaders and activists. At that time, she had a heated exchange of words with the OC, several videos of which spread on Facebook.

Confirming the GD, OC Monjur Kader Bhuiyan said that further action will be taken in this matter as per instructions from higher authorities. On the other hand, MP Rumin Farhana said she had gone to the police station with a list of various allegations against the OC, but the OC could not give a satisfactory reply. The MP's personal assistant said preparations are underway to submit a written complaint against the OC to the police's higher authorities over the incident.
