Sheikh Hasina should return to the country, people want to see her trial: Mir Shah Alam

He said this at a civic gathering organized on Saturday (October 24) noon at the field of Radhakantapur Government Primary School in Syedpur Union of Mokamtala Upazila, Bogura.

At the gathering, the State Minister said history can never be erased, and it cannot be denied that martyred President Ziaur Rahman was the declarer of Bangladesh's independence. He noted that BNP has always been founded on the love and trust of the people.

Criticizing Jamaat-e-Islami, Mir Shah Alam said that although Jamaat talks big, it did not take any effective initiative for the financial security of imams, muezzins and khadems; which Prime Minister Tareq Rahman has done. Inspired by the government's public welfare activities, he called on voters who had previously voted for Jamaat to come under BNP's flag.

At the end of his speech, the State Minister sought prayers from everyone for the good health and long life of Prime Minister Tareq Rahman, his wife Dr. Zubaida Rahman, and daughter Barrister Zaima Rahman.
