Police and local sources said the blockade began around 9am at the Mirpur 10 roundabout. Later, when the protesters took positions at Proshika intersection and other areas, traffic on those roads came to a complete halt. This caused severe suffering to general passengers and office-goers. Additional police have been deployed at the scene to keep the situation under control, said Pallabi Police Station OC Jalal Uddin.
