Barcelona return to La Liga summit with 6-1 thrashing of Alaves

Hansi Flick's side dominated from the start of the match and went 4-0 up in the first half. In the second half, they scored two more goals through exquisite chip shots from Yamal and Gordon. Late on, Mariano Diaz took advantage of a mistaken back pass by Barcelona's Rodri and scored Alaves' only goal.

With 15 goals in this win, Raphinha further strengthened his position at the top of the current league's top scorers list, ahead of second-placed Mbappe by four goals. Meanwhile, Yamal is third with 10 goals. Thanks to this win, Barcelona have returned to the top, two points ahead of second-placed Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid, with a game in hand, are four points behind them.
