Incidents of road blockades and vandalism took place in Mirpur, Savar and Gazipur in Dhaka on Saturday (October 31) in demand of increasing the minimum wage, stopping blacklisting and reinstating retrenched workers. At least 15 people, including police, were injured. In the situation that arose, the government, employers (BGMEA and BKMEA) and workers' representatives agreed to form a new wage board.
