Wednesday (November 4) was the scheduled date for the taking of evidence in the case. As she did not appear on the scheduled date, the plaintiff side filed an application to cancel the bail of Pori Moni and the other defendants. On the other hand, Pori Moni's lawyer sought time, citing an allergy-related illness. However, the court granted the plaintiff side's application and issued this order.
Earlier, on January 26 last year, an arrest warrant was also issued against Pori Moni on the day fixed for framing of charges. Later, she surrendered and secured bail.
It may be mentioned that on July 6, 2021, Nasir Uddin Mahmud filed the case against Pori Moni and two others. In the PBI investigation, the allegations against Pori Moni and her costume designer Junayed Bogdadi Jimi were found to be true.
