'There is no chance for any Apa to come to the country in December; we are prepared,' said Nahid Islam, convener of the National Citizens Party (NCP) and Chief Whip of the Opposition in the National Parliament.
He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the fresher reception for the 2025-26 academic year students and the prize-giving ceremony of the students' reflection programme on the July mass uprising at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) on Saturday noon.

Nahid Islam said, ‘It seems someone wants to come to the country next December. Are you prepared? Just as we were prepared in the July mass uprising, are we prepared in the same way this time too?’
