Food Minister Afroza Khanam disclosed this information to journalists after a meeting of the Food Planning and Monitoring Committee (FPMC) at the conference room of the Department of Information in the Secretariat on Sunday noon.
The food minister said this time Aman paddy will be procured at Tk 35, parboiled rice at Tk 49 and atap rice at Tk 48 per kg.
She further said that according to the decision, the Aman paddy procurement program will start on November 14 and continue until February 28, 2027. On the other hand, the Aman rice procurement program will start on December 1 and continue until February 28, 2027.
