Colourful Rally and Fair Inaugurated in Pirojpur on the Occasion of the 55th National Cooperative Day

The programme, organised by the district administration and the district cooperative office on Sunday (8 November), was chaired by Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Md. Golam Rabbani. State Minister for Housing and Public Works Ahmed Sohel Manzur MP joined virtually as chief guest.

Superintendent of Police of Pirojpur, Muhammad Talebur Rahman (PPM-Seba), was present as special guest.

At the discussion meeting, various aspects of economic development and building a self-reliant society through collective initiative, mutual cooperation and partnership under cooperatives were highlighted. The importance of the cooperative movement in the country's socio-economic development, employment generation and improving the living standards of ordinary people was also emphasised. Successful cooperators were presented with crests in recognition of their contributions.

Officials and employees of the district administration and district cooperative office at various levels, cooperators, local dignitaries and other invited guests were present at the programme.
