The Jamaat leader is currently staying in the United States on a ten-day visit. He made the remarks while answering a question during an exchange of views with journalists in New York on Wednesday.

Regarding the Prime Minister's visit to India, Zubayer said, 'If Tarique Rahman goes to the BIMSTEC summit, they will keep him sidelined. That will not be dignified. However, the government has to take the decision.'

Criticizing the government, he said, 'The BNP government is walking the path of new fascism. Bypassing the demand for a referendum, they are appointing party loyalists everywhere. We are giving them time as a responsible opposition. But they are choosing the path of fascism. In this situation, the 11-party alliance will hold a grand rally in Dhaka on November 14 and announce a movement program. We will implement the people's verdict on reforms with the people. If they do not accept the people's demand, they too will have to go the way of the fallen fascists.'

Sheikh Hasina has announced she will return to the country in December. In this situation, who will stop the fallen fascism or the BNP government — which one will you choose? In response to this question, he said, if necessary, the 11-party alliance will agitate against both. However, on the question of Hasina, BNP, Jamaat, and NCP are all of one mind.
