In a statement sent to the media on Tuesday (July 7), Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar said the cocktail attack that took place at the NCP rally after their march at the Tarapur Eidgah field in Savar on Monday night is a disgusting and cowardly incident. Several leaders and activists were injured in the attack, and four are in critical condition undergoing treatment at the hospital. He wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

In the statement, he said such an attack on a peaceful program of a political party raises concerns about the country's law and order situation. He demanded an investigation giving importance to the power outage at the start of the rally and the subsequent cocktail explosion.

Mia Golam Parwar alleged that the failure to ensure adequate security at a rally organized in the presence of the opposition Chief Whip indicates the administration's failure. He also called for uncovering the reasons behind the power outage and the entire incident.
