Vitamin D is not only important for bone and dental health, but also plays a vital role in keeping the body's immune system active. If there is a deficiency of this vitamin, problems like cold, cough, fever and sore throat can easily occur due to weather changes or exposure to viruses.

According to experts, fever is not directly caused by getting wet in the rain. However, viruses become more active in cold and humid environments. If the immune system is weak at this time, the risk of infection increases.

Research has shown that if there is a deficiency of vitamin D, the likelihood of contracting respiratory tract infections is comparatively higher. Taking vitamin D as per a doctor's advice, if necessary, may somewhat reduce the risk of such infections.
