At the colorful event, the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Mr. Nitai Roy Chowdhury MP, was present as the chief guest and delivered an important directional speech. In his speech, he called for spreading the programs of Nazrul Year to the grassroots level and inspiring the younger generation with the poet's secular and humanitarian spirit. At the same time, in a very humane and strong voice, he announced that all kinds of cooperation will be provided from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs for the welfare and treatment of the country's impoverished and ailing artists, and the government will always stand by them.
The Deputy Minister of Cultural Affairs, Mr. Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam MP, was present as a special guest at the event.
The speakers placed special emphasis on presenting the creations and life philosophy of the national poet on a global scale.
The meeting was presided over by the Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Ms. Kaniz Mowla. The welcome speech was delivered by the Director General of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Mr. Sheikh Rezauddin Ahmed (Rezauddin Stalin), and the vote of thanks was given by the Secretary of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Mr. Mohammad Zakir Hossain.
With the commitment to make the adopted plans for Nazrul Year more dynamic and people-oriented, distinguished artists from various art mediums of the country, Nazrul researchers, intellectuals, and dignitaries attended this conference and expressed their valuable opinions and solidarity. The speakers expressed hope that through this event, the message of equality and humanity of the national poet will reach every corner of Bengal.
