On Tuesday (July 14) morning, BAJUS announced the new price in a notice. The new price became effective from 10 am on the same day.
Under the new price, including VAT, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) has been set at Tk 2,19,808.
Additionally,
21-carat: Tk 2,09,894
18-carat: Tk 1,80,267
Traditional method gold: Tk 1,47,316
BAJUS stated that due to a decrease in the price of pure gold in the local market, this price adjustment has been made considering the overall situation.
According to the organization's decision, this price will remain effective in all jewelry establishments in the country until further notice. However, additional fixed wages will be added based on the design and type of ornament.
BAJUS also informed that VAT will be included in the selling price of gold and silver ornaments. Therefore, VAT cannot be collected separately from buyers. Additionally, in the case of ornament exchange and repurchase, the previous rules will remain in effect, excluding the fixed VAT, wages, and stone value.
It is noteworthy that the previous day, Monday (July 13), BAJUS had also reduced the price of gold. After one day, another price reduction was announced.
