SSC in January, HSC in June: Education Minister's Plan
From the next academic year, the government has planned to hold the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations in January, and the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations in June. Additionally, Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon said efforts are underway to further advance the public exam schedule in the future.

On Tuesday (July 14), the Education Minister provided this information in response to a question from Member of Parliament Lutfar Rahman in the National Parliament.

During the question-and-answer session, Lutfar Rahman inquired whether any changes would be made to the current schedule of SSC and HSC examinations from the next academic year.

In response, the Education Minister said the government has taken an initiative to reorganize the public exam schedule. Under this plan, from the next academic year, the SSC and equivalent examinations are planned to be held in January, and the HSC and equivalent examinations in June.

He further informed that the Ministry of Education is working with the goal of gradually completing public exams even earlier in the future.

If this government initiative is implemented, stakeholders believe the coordination between the academic year and the exam schedule will become more consolidated, and it will be easier to complete result publication and admission processes for the next grade within the stipulated time.
