Special opportunity for students who missed exams due to adverse weather: Education Minister
The government has provided a special examination opportunity for students who could not participate in the ongoing HSC and equivalent exams due to adverse weather and other unavoidable reasons. These students will be able to retake the exam with the same question paper as the postponed exams of the relevant subjects under the Chattogram Education Board.

Additionally, those responsible for the erroneous question in the Physics first paper exam have been temporarily suspended. At the same time, the Education Minister announced that affected students will be given full marks due to the faulty question.

On Wednesday (July 15), Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon shared this information in a statement under Rule 300 in the National Parliament. The session was presided over by Deputy Speaker Kaisar Kamal.

The Education Minister said that a total of 12,70,583 examinees participated in this year's HSC and equivalent exams at 2,697 centers across the country. However, due to heavy rainfall and adverse weather, exams for several subjects under the Chattogram Education Board in the districts of Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Khagrachari, Rangamati, and Bandarban were postponed. Additionally, many examinees in various areas including Dhaka could not participate in the exams due to adverse conditions.

He said, the HSC exam is an important step in students' lives. Therefore, under special consideration, absent examinees are being given the opportunity to retake the exam. Those who could not participate in the scheduled exams due to adverse weather or any other unavoidable reason will be able to take the exam with the same question paper as the postponed exams of the relevant subjects under the Chattogram Education Board. This exam will be held on the date and time determined by the Ministry of Education.

Regarding the error in the Physics first paper question paper, the Education Minister said that those responsible for preparing the question have already been temporarily suspended. Reassuring students and guardians, he stated that due to the errors in questions 6 and 7 of the Physics first paper, all affected examinees will be given full marks.
