In a press release on Thursday, BFSA said that East Cake International Food Limited has been asked to withdraw their 'East Cake Pur Pitha Jam Field (Intact)', East Jibai International Limited has been asked to withdraw 'East Baker Slice Bread Milk Jam Field (Intact)', and Arboting Food Company Limited has been asked to withdraw 'Arboting Food Slice Bread Mix Jam Field (Intact)' from the market.
The organization said that besides removing these products from the market, their marketing must also be stopped until further instructions.
Additionally, warning consumers, BFSA said that it is advised to refrain from purchasing or consuming these food products until further instructions.
It is noteworthy that on July 3, a mobile court of the Gazipur District Administration fined East Bakery Tk 2 lakh for producing food in an unhygienic environment and various irregularities.
