Dengue cases and deaths decrease, maximum healthcare in flood-affected areas: Health Ministry

In the weekly press briefing held on Tuesday (July 21), it was reported that from January 1 to July 20, 2025, 17,218 people were infected with dengue and 62 died in the country. On the other hand, during the same period in 2026, the number of cases decreased to 10,857 and deaths to 37.

The ministry said that along with cleanliness activities to combat dengue, necessary medical services for infected patients are being ensured.

Meanwhile, as flood situations have arisen in various districts of the country, the health department has continued emergency medical services in the affected areas.
