With the aim of preserving the memories of the student-public mass uprising of August 5, 2024, the artifacts of the movement, and the sacrifices of the martyrs, the former seat of power, Ganabhaban, has been turned into a museum. After the inauguration, it will be opened to the general public.

July Memorial Museum to be inaugurated on August 5, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to open it
The museum houses various photographs of the mass uprising, important documents, memorabilia used by the martyrs and the injured, blood-stained clothing, banners of the movement, placards, and various other artifacts.
Although there were plans for the inauguration on several occasions earlier, it could not be implemented for various reasons. Now that all preparations are complete, the museum will be inaugurated on the scheduled date.

State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishrak Hossain informed that August 5 will be officially observed as 'Autocracy Fall Day'. Various programs have been taken by the government on this occasion.
He said that on the same day, a special event will be organized at the China Friendship Conference Center in honor of the families of the martyrs and the injured. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will be present there as the chief guest.
Government officials hope that the 'July Memorial Museum' will play an important role in presenting the history and memories of the sacrifices of the July mass uprising to the new generation.
