High-level meeting on replacement of sound system of National Parliament

The meeting was held on Monday (July 27) morning in the Cabinet Room of the National Parliament building, chaired by Acting Speaker of the National Parliament, Barrister Kaysar Kamal.

In the meeting, a detailed presentation was made on various advanced sound technologies of the world with the aim of making the parliament's sound system more modern, reliable and technology-based.

Officials of the Public Works Department elaborated on possible technical alternatives, technological capabilities, implementation plans, and the integration of the new system with the existing infrastructure of the parliament building.

At this time, discussions were held on various features, functions and potential roles of the modern sound system in conducting parliamentary sessions. The guests present gave their opinions and necessary guidance on this matter.

The meeting was attended by top leaders of the government and opposition parties, as well as ministers in charge of the relevant ministries.

Present were opposition leader Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Minister of Housing and Public Works Jakaria Taher, Law Minister Md. Asaduzzaman, ruling party Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni and opposition Chief Whip Nahid Islam.

In addition, senior officials from the Public Works Department and the National Parliament Secretariat were also present at the meeting.
