The Department of Social Services has said that as part of updating the information of beneficiaries under the social security programme, eligible individuals and institutions must complete their online applications within the stipulated time. No new applications will be accepted after the deadline.
Allowances and stipends for which you can apply
Under this programme, applications can be submitted for—
- Old-age allowance
- Widow and husband-victimized women allowance
- Disability allowance and education stipend
- Allowance and stipend for backward population
- Capitation grant for students of private registered orphanages
How to apply
For old-age allowance, widow allowance, disability allowance, disability education stipend, and allowance and stipend for backward population, applicants must enter the designated online application portal of the Department of Social Services, fill in the required information, and submit the application.
On the other hand, applications for the capitation grant for students of private registered orphanages must be completed through the designated service evaluation portal of the Ministry of Social Welfare.
The Department of Social Services has advised contacting the concerned Upazila Social Service Office or City Social Service Office for details about the application process or required information and for technical assistance.
