The body parts were recovered from under a culvert bridge in Sabujbagh on Thursday (August 6) morning around 9:00 AM. The incident has caused a stir in the area.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sabujbagh Police Station, Saiful Islam, said that police went to the spot after being informed by locals and recovered the body parts. It is initially believed that the woman was killed and her body dismembered 2 to 3 days ago. The recovered parts were in a semi-decomposed state.
He said that although the head and two hands have been recovered, a search is being conducted at the scene and surrounding areas for the rest of the body.

The OC further said that the identity of the deceased woman has not yet been confirmed. Expert teams are working at the scene to confirm her identity, and fingerprints are being collected.
Police have said that the recovered body parts are being sent for autopsy. At the same time, an investigation has been launched to unravel the mystery of the killing and identify those involved.
