Stolen cattle farm found in underground of Jubo Dal worker's house in Pabna, 1 held

Pabna Sadar Police Station OC Tariqul Islam confirmed the information. The arrested Shariful Islam Prodhan is the son of the deceased Ismail Pramanik of the area, and he was reportedly involved in Jubo Dal politics. A photo of a Jubo Dal banner featuring his own picture has also been found.

Police and local sources said that on the night of last Thursday (August 6), a cow was stolen from that area of the upazila. After the victim filed a verbal complaint at the police station, police launched an investigation. Meanwhile, police learned through secret information that the stolen cow was in the underground of Shariful's house. Later, they conducted a raid and recovered two cows from there—one of which police confirmed was the stolen cow.

In this regard, district Jubo Dal convener Iliyas Ahmed Himel Rana said, whoever the criminal is, he should be punished. The party does not create criminals; criminals remain mixed in the party—so the party or organization is not responsible. Regarding the Jubo Dal worker's photo, he said many people at various times take photos with leaders and use them to commit crimes; it is not possible to identify everyone. He claimed that after knowing their real identity, no one gives them shelter.

Pabna Sadar police station OC Tariqul Islam said that during preliminary interrogation of arrested Shariful, names of several other members of the gang have come up. Efforts are underway to arrest them. He further said the owner of one of the two recovered cows has been identified. A case will be filed on his behalf and further legal action will be taken.
