Hefazat Demands PM Not Allow Saad-Faction Ijtema at Tongi
Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh has demanded that Prime Minister Tareq Rahman not allow the Saad-faction Ijtema at the Tongi Ijtema ground. The organization stated that Tabligh Jamaat's activities and the world Ijtema in Bangladesh have traditionally been conducted under the supervision of Islamic scholars, and the ban on controversial Indian Maulana Saad's entry into Bangladesh should be maintained.

The demand was made during a meeting between Hefazat Ameer Allama Muhibbullah Babunagari and the Prime Minister on Sunday (August 9) afternoon at Al-Jamiatul Islamia Azizul Uloom Babunagar Madrasa in Fatikchhari, Chattogram.
