At the press conference, a journalist noted that in the past the pass rate of the Madrasa Education Board was usually not the lowest, but this time the Dhaka Education Board had the highest pass rate and the Madrasa Board had the lowest. In response, the education minister said, ‘Actually, I was wanting to know this from you. My question too is, why did this happen?’
He said he had just learned that the results of the Madrasa Board were poor, and the matter would be investigated. He further said, ‘Our teachers and students work so hard that they are bound to produce good results. We have been achieving the best in the country not only in academic results but also in co-curricular activities.’
However, the education minister also said that it is not possible to give any immediate decision or explanation on this matter without analysis.
