According to several US media sources, Trump arrived in Ankara on the new Air Force One plane obtained from Qatar to attend the NATO summit. But due to death threats, he had to leave Turkey on that small aircraft. The decision to change aircraft at the last moment was mainly because of threats from Iranian-backed groups. On the return from Ankara, journalists on the old aircraft were ordered to keep the window shades down.

In a video published by The Washington Post, a catering truck is seen being unloaded from the old Air Force One a few minutes after Trump boarded the aircraft, and it heads toward the distant small C-32A aircraft. After arriving in the UK, another video shows Trump getting off the large aircraft and heading toward the new Air Force One. However, it is not certain how he returned to the large aircraft.

It is worth noting that this new Air Force One does not have adequate security systems like the previous aircraft, not even a ‘missile defense system.’ However, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung issued a statement defending the new aircraft's safety, saying it is a state-of-the-art aircraft that ensures high-quality security for the President and his officials.
