19 rail coaches coming from India, first rake with special facilities rolls out today
For Bangladesh Railway, India's Rail Coach Factory (RCF) in Kapurthala has built the first rake of 19 LHB broad-gauge passenger coaches. Today, Wednesday (12 August), this rake is scheduled to be formally rolled out.

India's Press Information Bureau (PIB) said in a press release that special facilities have been added to the coaches considering the needs and operational system of Bangladeshi passengers. The first rake includes three AC sleeper, three AC chair cars, 11 non-AC chair cars and two power cars.

The electrical system has been made at 415 volts suitable for Bangladesh Railway, whereas conventional coaches in India use 750 volts.
