On Wednesday (August 12), the decision to dismiss them was communicated through separate notifications from the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The dismissed officers are—Joint Commissioner of Police Biplab Kumar Sarkar and Sudip Kumar Chakraborty, attached to Barishal Range DIG office; Police Superintendent Md. Iqbal Hossain of Khulna Range DIG office; Additional Police Superintendent Rajan Kumar Dash of 8 Armed Police Battalion (APBn), Cox's Bazar; Assistant Police Commissioner of DMP Golam Ruhani; and Deputy Police Commissioner Kazi Ashraful Azim of Chattogram Range DIG office.
The notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs said they have been dismissed from service under the power of the relevant section of the Government Service Act, 2018.
