He said, 'The result of the presidential election is such that the outcome is known before taking the exam!'
On Thursday (August 13), he made this comment about the presidential election in a post on his verified Facebook account.

In the post, Nasiruddin Patwari wrote, 'If voting is just a formality, then this is not an election, but rather a rehearsal for announcing the result!'
In the post, he also raised questions about the democratic process surrounding the presidential election. He said, 'If the result is decided before the people's vote, then where does democracy remain?'
Nasiruddin Patwari's remarks came at a time when the party on Thursday finalized Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as its candidate for the 23rd presidential election. In this context, he has already resigned from the post of minister and party secretary general.
Party sources said he resigned from the ministerial post and the post of party secretary general before becoming a candidate for the presidential post.
BNP and government sources say that if Mirza Fakhrul is elected president, the Parliament Secretariat will declare his Thakurgaon-1 seat vacant. A by-election will then be held in that seat.
