Severed foot wrapped in white cloth recovered from garbage heap in Sylhet

Airport Police Station OC Shahidur Rahman said local residents spotted the severed foot wrapped in white cloth in the garbage heap and informed police. Later, police went to the spot and recovered it. After legal procedures, the foot was sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for DNA testing.

OC said identification was not possible immediately. Initially, it is suspected that someone may have left the amputated foot in the garbage heap after being cut off during surgery at a hospital. However, this is not confirmed. He said the identity of the foot and the actual cause of the incident will be known after DNA test and investigation.
