Delhi withdraws notice about Tarique Rahman's India visit

In a notice published at around 2pm on Friday (August 21), it was stated that the 'Change of Guard' ceremony would not be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on August 22. The reason mentioned was the rehearsal for the official reception of Bangladesh's Prime Minister.

However, as no official announcement was made from either Dhaka or New Delhi regarding Tarique Rahman's India visit, the notice was later withdrawn by India's Presidential Palace. Around 3pm, a new notice announced the withdrawal of the previous press notice.

India's Rashtrapati Bhavan arranges military and diplomatic formalities for state visits by foreign heads of state and important guests. These include a guard of honour, the national anthem, and the official introduction ceremony.
