Jamaat has turned from oppressed into oppressors: Rashed Khan

In an interview given to NPB News on Saturday (22 August), he said that the statements and activities of Jamaat's leaders and activists do not reflect civility and values. He also commented that they do not properly evaluate people.

Rashed Khan said that he once spoke in favor of Jamaat when the party was in an oppressed position. But Jamaat is an example of how a party can turn from oppressed into oppressors over time.

He further said that many people still portray Jamaat as oppressed. However, if there are allegations of threats, use of muscle power, and involvement in activities like occupying campuses and halls even while in opposition, there is also a question as to whether they can truly be called an opposition party.
