Processing centers to be built to ensure fair prices for livestock products: Minister

He said that farmers often suffer losses due to not getting fair prices. To solve this problem, effective measures must be taken at every stage of production, preservation, processing and marketing. If necessary, government assistance will be provided to set up small-scale processing centers.

At the closing ceremony of the two-day training program, the minister further said that artificial fertilizer crisis will not be allowed in the country. Timely supply of fertilizers, seeds and other agricultural inputs will be ensured according to the needs of farmers.

He said that if information on production and demand for agricultural inputs can be preserved through farmer cards, government planning and supply system will be more effective. At the same time, he emphasized taking integrated initiatives to free the country from dependence on agricultural imports and make it export-oriented.
