Mirza Abbas acquitted in 15 corruption cases
In 15 cases filed on corruption charges over the sale of 18 government houses without tender, the court acquitted Mirza Abbas, a member of BNP's standing committee and political adviser to the Prime Minister (with the rank of minister).

The verdict was delivered on Thursday (August 27) by Muhammad Kamrul Hasan Khan, judge of Dhaka Special Judge Court-3.

In these cases filed in 2007, Mirza Abbas had been accused of causing a loss of Tk 127 crore 64 lakh 19 thousand 509 to the state by selling 18 government houses without tender.
