Oil prices rise again in world market

On Monday (September 7) morning, Brent crude rose 0.54 percent to $96.80 per barrel. On the other hand, West Texas Intermediate rose 0.72 percent to $92.14 per barrel.

Iran claims it has taken military action against three US-linked ships and three oil tankers moving through unauthorized routes in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian authorities claim the step was taken in response to the destruction of three oil tankers in a US attack.

The United States, meanwhile, said it had carried out military operations in response to the recent activities of Iranian warships.

The report states that since the beginning of the conflict between Iran and the United States and Israel on February 28 this year, Brent prices have risen more than 30 percent in international markets.

Analysts fear that if oil transportation through the Strait of Hormuz is disrupted, the supply crisis in the world market could become more acute. This could increase fuel oil prices and put significant pressure on the global economy.
