Fraud in the name of sending workers to Malaysia, agency sealed
A recruiting agency in Naya Paltan in the capital has been sealed on charges of fraud in the name of sending workers before Malaysia's labor market formally opened. At the same time, a mobile court fined the establishment Tk 50,000.

On Thursday (September 10), a special mobile court led by the Executive Magistrate of BMET conducted a raid on ‘Triple A Overseas’ (RL-2630). During the raid, three boxes of passports collected irregularly from overseas-bound workers were seized.

Expatriates’ Welfare Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury said no kind of fraud against migrant workers will be tolerated. Strict legal action against recruiting agencies that violate the rules will continue.

Initiatives have been taken to return the seized passports to their actual owners after the legal process is completed. The process of taking legal action against the concerned agency is also underway.
