Police said that in the building there were 35 citizens of Laos, 21 of Pakistan, 5 of China, one of Nepal and one of Vietnam. Among them are 41 men, 21 women and one child.

'Secret casino' in 8-storey building in Chattogram, 63 foreigners from 5 countries detained
During the raid, 131 mobile phones, 170 laptops, currencies of various countries and casino gaming equipment were seized.
Locals said that for nearly a month, extensive movement of foreign nationals had been seen in the building. Police suspect the building may have been rented to run casino or gambling operations in a planned manner.

However, the purpose for which the foreigners were staying there and who else, local or foreign, is involved in it are being investigated. Police said that after the raid, detailed information about the recovered money and equipment and those involved will be provided.
