On Sunday (September 13), State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir gave this information to journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He said, during the visit, the Prime Minister will highlight Bangladesh's new vision and priorities on the world stage. Besides, in several bilateral meetings and important sideline meetings with world leaders, various issues related to the country's interests will be discussed.
Asked whether the Prime Minister will meet US President Donald Trump, the State Minister said decisions about sideline meetings are often made at the last moment. Once it is finalized who will meet whom, the media will be informed.
Humayun Kabir said special importance will be given to the Rohingya crisis during the US visit, and a special sideline meeting will be arranged on this issue. The Rohingya issue will receive great importance in discussions with world leaders.
