The meeting discussed the local government system, the upcoming local government elections, technical assistance in various development projects, and increasing women's participation in local government.
The minister said technical and necessary cooperation is important to strengthen local government. In this regard, Norway's experience can be helpful for Bangladesh. At the same time, he emphasized increasing women's participation in local government.
Deputy Head of the Norwegian Mission Alexander Falk-Bilden, Political Adviser Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury, Additional Secretary of the Local Government Division Dr. Abu Nasr Mohammad Abdullah, and senior officials were present at the meeting.
