Five more people have died from dengue infection in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 1,484 people were admitted to various hospitals.
This information was provided in a regular dengue-related bulletin of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday (September 17).

Among the newly infected, the highest 252 were admitted in Khulna Division and 227 in Dhaka South City Corporation. In addition, 211 in Barishal, 207 in Dhaka North, 192 in Chattogram, 190 in areas outside city corporations in Dhaka Division, 102 in Rajshahi, 64 in Mymensingh, 35 in Rangpur and four in Sylhet were admitted.

The Directorate General of Health Services said that with this, the number of deaths from dengue in the current year has risen to 176.
