He gave the instruction on Wednesday (September 23) at a meeting at the Secretariat to review progress on cleanliness, dengue prevention, traffic congestion, and waterlogging mitigation in Dhaka metropolitan area.

Directive for swift action to address Dhaka's traffic congestion, dengue, and waterlogging
The minister said that when city dwellers' valuable time is wasted due to traffic congestion, it has an economic impact. Therefore, effective initiatives must be taken to ease traffic congestion to keep movement normal. He directed that cleanliness activities and ongoing efforts to destroy Aedes mosquito breeding grounds be further strengthened to prevent dengue.
State Minister for Local Government Mir Shahe Alam was the special guest at the meeting. Administrators of Dhaka North and South City Corporations, along with concerned officials, presented the progress of ongoing activities.

The state minister said that the activities of the city corporations must be further strengthened to build Dhaka as a clean, safe, and livable city. At that time, instructions were given to the concerned parties to work in coordination to implement the issues discussed at the meeting.
