On Monday, Mohammad Taherul Haque Chohan, acting commissioner of Gazipur Metropolitan Police, said the suspended members include the driver of the prison van. Further action will be taken based on the report of the investigation committee led by a deputy commissioner.

Police and jail sources said that after Sunday's court appearance, Pichchi Raja was being taken back to Kashimpur Central Jail-1 in a prison van. When they reached the Naozor area of Gazipur, he got out of the vehicle saying he needed to use the toilet. Later, he escaped unnoticed by the police personnel on duty.

According to Mohammadpur Police Station sources, after returning from Nepal on May 19, Pichchi Raja, his wife and brother-in-law were arrested at the airport with the assistance of immigration police. There are 20 to 25 cases against him, including drugs and weapons.

Multiple teams of law enforcement agencies are conducting operations to arrest the fugitive Pichchi Raja.
