A case has been filed against Abdur Razzak Raja, joint convener of the upazila Jubo Dal, on allegations of beating businessman Motaleb Hossain and snatching money after failing to get extortion money in Sujanagar, Pabna.
The case was filed at Sujanagar Police Station on September 23, in which Raja and four others were made accused.

According to the FIR, when the businessman refused to pay Tk 3 lakh in extortion, he was pulled out of a car and beaten, and Tk 28,000 was snatched from him in the Jahanara Kanchan Bazar area on September 20. However, accused Jubo Dal leader Raja denied the allegations and claimed that the businessman filed this false case to save himself from political vengeance. Police are trying to arrest the accused.
