He said this at a press conference of the Rangpur Divisional Development Forum at Jamaat's party office at Shapla Chattar in Rangpur city on Saturday. Calling on BNP to mend its behavior, he said the people will not accept unjust behavior.

Criticizing the political dispute over the implementation of the July National Charter and constitutional reform, ATM Azharul Islam said that if these are not resolved through parliament, a movement will be built on the streets with the people. He also demanded ensuring equal treatment in the law and order situation regardless of party or opinion.
At the press conference, he presented 13 demands for the development of Rangpur Division. These include implementation of the Teesta Master Plan, the second project of Madhyapara hard rock mine, modernization of Saidpur Airport, construction of a second Jamuna Bridge, development of rail communication and increase in the number of trains, gas supply to Rangpur, and establishment of a Science and Technology and Agricultural University.

Demanding special allocation as needed to eliminate development disparity in Rangpur Division, he said that disparity will not be eliminated if lagging regions are given the same allocation as developed regions. He also remarked that if the government backs down from implementing the Teesta Master Plan due to any foreign pressure, the people of Rangpur will not accept it.
At the press conference, Jamaat's members of parliament from various constituencies of Rangpur Division and local leaders of the party were present.
