The minister said the current Secretariat has a parking and space crisis. As the offices of many ministries are scattered outside the main building, complications are being created in conducting administrative activities. Besides, since most of the Secretariat buildings were constructed in the 1960s, they have become old. The issue of safety during earthquakes and various natural disasters also has to be taken into consideration.
