Seeing two people who looked like police, Tahsif ran away; PBI verifying their identities
Former Bangladesh Air Force flight lieutenant K M Tahsif Sauri's friend Ahmed Shahriar Reza Dip has given new information about his death. Dip claims they ran after seeing two people who looked like police. However, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) is verifying whether those two were actually police members.

On Friday (30 October), PBI Dhaka Metro North Additional DIG Md. Enayet Hossain Mannan gave this information to journalists. He said that on the night Tahsif went missing, his friend Dip was with him. The information obtained from questioning Dip is being verified and cross-checked. Efforts are ongoing to confirm every piece of information he provided through investigation.

He further said that Dip had said the previous day that around 12 midnight, they separated from Tahsif in the House Building area and went in two directions. After that, they had no contact. Then why they went to that area around 2 am and what was the reason for going there on motorcycles late at night is being investigated.

Md. Enayet Hossain Mannan said that based on the information provided by Dip, a black Suzuki Gixxer 150 motorcycle has been recovered. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether the motorcycle is connected to Tahsif's death. Its documents are being verified.

According to an internal report of the Naval Police, around 4:30 pm on Wednesday, a call was made to the National Emergency Service 999 informing that a body was floating in the Turag River. Later, a team from the Tongi Naval Police outpost went to the scene and recovered the body.
