Shrugging off the shock of defeat in El Clasico, Barcelona returned to the top of the La Liga points table with a huge 6-1 win against Alaves. Raphinha and Lamine Yamal scored braces for the team. The other two goals came from Fermin Lopez and substitute Anthony Gordon.
Hansi Flick's side dominated from the start of the match and went 4-0 up in the first half. In the second half, they scored two more goals through exquisite chip shots from Yamal and Gordon. Late on, Mariano Diaz took advantage of a mistaken back pass by Barcelona's Rodri and scored Alaves' only goal.
