Earlier, in the morning, garment factory workers started protesting by taking position on the road in the Mirpur-11 area. At one stage, clashes and chase-and-counter-chase incidents took place between the protesters and police in phases. Police threw tear shells to control the situation. Due to this tense situation, MRT Police temporarily closed the Mirpur-11 metro rail station in the interest of passengers' safety.
