In the press release, it is said that the transfer process was completed through a lottery system based on approved guidelines in order to stop lobbying and irregularities and ensure transparency. The lottery was held in an open environment at the ministry's conference room in the presence of media personnel and through live broadcast on television and online. The ministry stated that by raising a fictitious allegation of illegal transactions of Tk 120 crore without specific information and evidence, an attempt has been made to question a transparent and regular process.
The press release further mentioned that although the name and phone number of senior journalist Rustam Mallik were used as the signatory to the complaint, he has denied involvement in it. Noting that tarnishing the institution's image by publishing speculative news is undesirable, the ministry requested to refrain from publishing such misleading news in the future without verifying information and evidence.
